We describe a mobile telepresence system allowing school students to remotely visit the National Museum of Australia. The system consists of a mobile robot platform, an omni-directional video camera, a video-conferencing system, and a high-speed Internet connection. The design of the system includes interfaces for local, remote, and administrative users.
