Rainwater is a natural water resource which is known to have good water quality. It is considered as an invaluable resource in life. Rainwater harvesting, management and rainwater use have an important role for sustainable development of water resource of many nations. This research on assessment on rainwater quality in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam has shown that the rainwater quality is still quite good and it is unaffected by heavy metal pollutants (such as Cu, Pb, Fe, Zn, Cd, Al), Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) and radioactive substance as concerned. To harvest rainwater with good water quality, we need to remove water in the first of rainfall. The research results showed that the first flush should be about 0,6 – 0,8 liter/m2 of roof surface.
